ESN40C is a model from Takamine`s Pro Series, the upscale section of the catalog. Within the Pro Series, this model is situated in Naturals line of acoustic-electric guitars. ESN40C comes with NEX shaped body with a single cutaway design. Back and sides on this model are made of sapele, while the top is made of spruce. Sound board is equipped with natural binding, satin finish and single circle rosette. Takamine opted to go without the pickguard on this NEX. Belly shaped rosewood bridge comes with white string pins and plastic saddle. In the electronics department, there is a well known and reliable CT4B preamp installed. Neck on this model is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint and topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
