G2220 Junior Jet Bass II is a solid-bodied bass guitar based on the six-stringed Jet series of electric guitars. This one, together with the G2202, forms the entry level of the Gretsch Guitars bass section. Affordability, decent build quality and good tonal properties make this bass a very attractive option for beginners. G2220 comes with a solid and single-cut basswood body and a bolted neck. Body is painted black and finished in gloss and hardware on the body and headstock is plated in chrome. On top of the body, Gretsch installs a hardtail bridge with four saddles and chrome plating. In it`s front, there are two minibucker pickups (2202 has only got one). Maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
