These sleek and powerful guitars come with black-clad bodies contrasted with silver sparkle binding around the body and neck and silver pickguards. Les Paul Standard Black Royale Edition is a regular LP Standard with Black Royale Edition cosmetic treatment. There fore, this one comes with a body made entirely of mahogany. Solid and single cut, this body features single ply silver sparkle binding and silver pickguard on the top. Bridge section on this LP is a standard one, as it includes a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Both are plated in nickel to match the rest of the hardware, primarily the Grover tuners installed on the heqadstock and pickup covers. Pickups installed on this Black Royale are Alnico Classic Plus in the bridge and Alnico Classic in the neck. These active humbuckers are controlled through a standard controls unit, split volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. The neck is made of mahogany and it features a 1960s slim taper contour and glued-in joint. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 medium jumbo-sized frets, trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard. 24-3/4" scale and nickel plated hardware wrap up the specs list.
