EC series of electric basses is a sibling series to the EC line of guitars. EC basses come with single-cut bodies, long scales and carved tops (top models, at least). Currently, there are four models in this series with more models expected in the future. Compared to the big B series, EC is small and seemingly has a lot less to offer. But, luckily, that is not true, for EC models, all four of them, offer outstanding tonal versatility and are ready to take on just about anything. EC 154 DX comes with a standard single-cut body made of basswood with flame maple top. Pair of humbucking pickups is installed on the top. Neck on this model is made of maple and it`s topped with a series standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
