Tom Araya`s signature series in ESP/LTD catalog is one of the longest running and is, most certainly, the best selling on the four string side. Numerous models have been a part of this series over the years, some with ESP and some with LTD badges. Legendary frontman and ESP have teamed up once again, and the result is more than satisfying. A pair of LTD models was introduced into the Tom Araya series at this year`s NAMM, with TA-204 FRX taking the position of the entry model. TA-204 FRX is an entry level bass, made for younger metalheads who want a warhorse instrument for both the rehearsals and small gigs. 204 rocks a solid maple body with a heavily carved top and a flat back. Maple neck is attached to it via the standard bolt-on joint. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard tops the fast neck. It features XJ frets, pentagram inlays and a 1.57" molded string nut. Being a 200 tier model, TA-204 gets standard ESP Designed pickups. Master volume, master tone and balance comprise the controls. BB-604 bridge with top-load construction (the same one is used on the 604 model) and regular LTD tuners complete the specs list.
