Gretsch Introduces 130th Anniversary Models

Two super luxurious guitars have been introduced to celebrate 130th anniversary of Gretsch Guitars. Both are fully hollow-bodied and feature some exclusive appointments.

Gretsch Guitars is one of the brands with longest tradition in the industry and is also one of the manufacturers with best reputation. Quality of their guitars has always been supreme and it continues to rise constantly. Great number of players have given their trust to Gretsch over the years and decades and the fact that Gretsch celebrates 130 years proves that they were right to do so. For this exceptional anniversary Gretsch Guitars introduce a pair of luxurious guitars. Their names are G6118T 130th Anniversary and G6118T LTV 130th Anniversary. The first one is situated within the US Custom Collection and the second one is now a part of the Professional Collection.

Gretsch G6118T 130th Anniversary is one truly special guitar, as it features the finest of the finest tone woods and hardware appointments available from Gretsch Guitars. Fully hollow body is made with single cutaway design and set neck construction. Three-ply maple is used for the body construction and is also used for the neck. Body of this model is decorated with several layers of binding and an elevated pickguard with Gretsch logo on it. Metallic Gold Top with Dark Back is the only color scheme available for this model and it`s finished in gloss. Fixed bridge with wooden base is backed with Bigsby and decorative tailpiece. Active TV Jones humbuckers are installed in the front. Maple neck is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. Gretsch G6118T LTV 130th Anniversary is a similar model to G6118 reviewed earlier in this article. It is fully hollow, equipped with set neck joint and has arched back and top. Finest maple is used for the body construction, as it comprises the back, side and top panels. Three layers of maple have been chose by Gretsch as the winning combination. Fixed bridge on this 6118 has wooden base and is backed by a vibrato bar and decorative tailpiece. TV Jones humbuckers with standard Gretsch controls unit are installed in the front. Maple neck is set in and topped with an ebony fingerboard with 22 vintage frets. 24-3/5" scale, Sperzel tuners and chrome plated hardware complete the specs list.
