Damien Platinum and Retro series are being updated for 2013 with new models. Kenny Hickey signature series is also being introduced.
Schecter Guitars grab this year by the horns and introduce the first of many catalog updates in the first half of the January. Two series are being updated and one is introduced. Damien Platinum is treated with Damien Platinum 6 model and the Retro series received the TSH-1 Classic semi-hollow six-stringer. One Artist guitar is also being introduced, it`s named Kenny Hickey Artist Model. Schecter shows unyielding desire to conquer the market with these stunning axes and this is a very promising year, judging by the first updates. Super high construction quality and strong personalities grace these guitars. Materials and tone are also top class. Schecter Damien Platinum 6 is a brand new metal machine from Damien range. It has a standard Schecter double-cut super-strat body made of mahogany with maple neck attached to it. Body is equipped with ultra access cutaway and set-in neck joint. Platinum binding is also applied on this satin black Damien. EMG 81 and 85 make sure the guitar never runs out of breath. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the common Damien series controls unit. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. All in all, this is a guitar made for metalheads and it can even compete with pricier guitars from other brands. Definitely an axe worth considering if you`re looking to power up. Schecter Retro TSH-1 Classic is a vintage-styled guitar made for a bit softer and more subtle tone then Damien Platinum series. This TSH model is equipped with a double-cut body made of maple. Back and sides, like the top, are made of gorgeous flamed maple. Three-piece maple neck is attached to this body through a set-in joint. This combination of woods is paired with Schecter`s own Diamond Tubebucker pickups, which are comprised of two lipstick pickups, each. Separate volume and tone controls allow for full customization of the tone. Comfortable maple neck features a 22-fret fingerboard with block inlays on it`s top. Tuners are Grover and scale measures classic 243/4". Versatile tone, beautiful vintage looks and modern playability add up to create one sweet little rocker. Schecter Kenny Hickey Artist Model is made for the accomplished string master Kenny Hickey of Seventh Void and Danzig. Standard 25-1/2" scale has been elongated for this model and now measures 26-1/2". Standard double-cut body is carved on the top, bound in black and equipped with ultra access cutaway. Mahogany neck is attached through a set-in joint, which ensures maximum stability. Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position is paired with a Sustainiac pickup in the neck position. Standard master volume/master tone/three-way toggle controls unit is accompanied by a pair of mini switches connected only to the Sustainiac pickup. Tune-o-matic bridge is paired wits Schecter tuners and these keep the tuning in perfect check. This heavy hitting axe is made for deep and brutal cuts and unforgiving metal grinding.
