El Segundo is a four stringed acoustic bass coming from the Epiphone catalog. The series is represented with El Capitan and El Segundo with Capitan being the top model of the series. The Segundo starts off with a hollow, dreadnought shaped body made of spruce top and mahogany back and sides. This non-cutaway model features a flat top and natural gloss finish. The neck is made of maple and has a set-in joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 22 frets and dot inlays. The nut is 1.65" wide and the scale is 34" long. Epiphone El Segundo also has an under-saddle piezo pickup with Epiphone Passive Tone Control preamp. Other features on this model include: chrome hardware and modern styled tuning machines with covered gears. This model costs around $300.
