Vintage Modified series is one of several lines of vintage-styled guitars made by Squier. It takes some of the most popular vintage appointments and blends them with the standard modern features. One of many models featured in this series is Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH. Pickups combo of this extraordinary Tele is equipped with two single coils (in the bridge and middle positions) and a mini humbucker in the neck position. Their controls unit is made up of master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Bridge behind them is the classic Tele bridge with string-through construction. Body of the Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH is solid, single-cut and made of cedar. Neck is made of maple and it`s topped with a standard 21-fret maple fingerboard.

Neck is great. Great action, very playable guitar. The bridge p/u is very twangy, and the neck humbucker p/u is smooth and jazzy. The middle pick-up is weak. It's a Duncan Designed single coil. I'm wondering whether the wiring is the problem, or the p/u. I think an easy test will be to replace that p/u with a Fender single coil. It means you can't really use any of the middle five selector positions, without drop-off. I hope this p/u change will fix it.
