Alvarez`s Artist series has been completely remodeled and renovated in 2016 and 2017 and filled with a multitude of fantastic steel and nylon-stringed guitars (and basses). It is positioned above the Regent series, which now serves as Alvarez`s beginner line. AC65 is the series most affordable nylon-stringer, coming in at $449 (AC65CE and AC65HCE cost $679, almost 50% more). It offers combined laminate/solid body construction, 12th fret neck joint, classical headstock with 3+3 tuning pegs, traditional Spanish bracing pattern, and vintage styling. Natural is the only available color option. Other important features include mahogany back & sides (laminated, bound in black ABS binding), solid Western red cedar top (A+ class), mahogany neck, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard (bone nut, side dot inlays, classical frets), rosewood bridge, and a set of chrome-plated classical tuning pegs.
