Artist is Alvarez`s line of lower intermediate and intermediate steel and nylon-stringed guitars. Currently available tiers include 30, 60, 65, 66, 70, 75, 80, and 90, with prices and level of luxury rising with numerical designations. AD30 is the basic, most affordable dreadnought option available through Artist series. It costs $379 (MSRP) and brings only the bare necessities, focusing on build quality and tone. Solid (and flat) Sitka spruce top, standard 25-1/2" scale, 14th fret neck joint, stock hardware, and FST2M bracing are among the core features. Natural (w/gloss finish, black binding, black pickguard, and chrome hardware) is the only available color option. Other notable features include laminated mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge (w/Alvarez contour), and die-cast tuners.
