Alvarez Artist series offers lower intermediate and intermediate class instruments, both fully acoustic and amplified. The vast majority of the models are steel-stringers, with only a small batch of classical models (a sizable unit of ukuleles is also available). AF60CE comes in with a single-cut folk body, 24-13/16" scale, LR Baggs electronics, and modern Alvarez styling. The MSRP is set at $699 and the only available color option is Shadowburst (gloss finish, abalone rosette, chrome hardware). The single-cut body is made of laminated mahogany (back & sides) and solid spruce (A grade Sitka spruce). The neck is also made of mahogany (14th fret dovetail joint, rounded profile), with a 21-fret rosewood (custom 12th fret inlay, 1.75" bone nut) fingerboard on top. LR Baggs electronics and rosewood bridge complete the specs list.
