Alvarez Artist Series is oriented towards versatility. Concert, dreadnought, jumbo, classical and folk shapes, acoustic, cutaway, non-cutaway, acoustic-electric variants with figured maple, sunburst and many other exotic woods and color options. AJ417 12 is a jumbo shaped twelve stringer with a body made of spruce top and bubinga back and sides. It is available in natural color with glossy finish and multi-ply top binding. The bridge on this model is made of rosewood and features white pins and white plastic saddle. The neck on AJ417 12 is equipped with a dovetail joint positioned at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 20 frets with a custom 12th fret position inlay. Nickel plated hardware completes the spec. Alvarez AJ417 12 currently costs around $520.
