DY84C is one of the up-scale models from Alvarez Yairi Standard Steelstring series. It is a dreadnought-shaped guitar with single cutaway construction. It`s back and side panels are made of rosewood, while the top panel is made of spruce. This six-stringer comes with the top bound in ivoroid binding and finished in gloss. Yairi models in Alvarez catalog represent the upper class, as they are made by Kazuo Yairi in his shop in Japan. Top of this model is equipped with double-circle rosette, while the pickguard is left out of the specs list. In the bridge section, Alvarez installs a standard-shaped bridge made of ebony. System 600 MkII preamp is featured on this model. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it comes with 20 frets with snowflake inlays.
