Kazuo Yairi produces the upper class Alvarez guitars in his own shop in Japan and Yairi Standard Steelstring series contains mostly dreadnought shaped models, though others can also be found. YB1 is a jumbo-shaped guitar with non-cutaway construction. It`s back and sides are made of rosewood, while the top is made of standard spruce. Top panel is bound in creme binding and equipped with double circle rosette around the sound hole. This top, as well as the entire body, features satin finish. Bridge on this model is made of ebony and it comes with a standard Alvarez shape. Mahogany is the wood of choice for this neck which is covered with fingerboard made of ebony. 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1.6875" wide string nut complete the fingerboard.
