Balladeer series is one of only two active series in Applause catalog. It contains over a dozen models, combining six-string steel-stringers, six-string nylon-stringers, twelve-string models, fully acoustic guitars, as well as acoustic-electric guitars. Applause 12-String Mid Depth AB2412II-5 comes in with a single-cut Lyrachord body, made of a mid-depth composite bowl in the back and a spruce soundboard on top. Also, it rocks the standard 25-1/4" scale, stock hardware, and stock electronics. Black (w/gloss finish, ABS binding, dot inlays) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a nato neck, 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard (10" radius, dot inlays, ABS binding), fixed ovangkol bridge, Applause by Ovation electronics (CE304T preamp/piezo pickup), and die-cast tuners.
