R3-N is a nylon-stringed model from the Solitaire series in Boulder Creek catalog. This series was made by Boulder Creek luthiers for the players. The audience is not so important for the Solitaire series. Makers of this series realized that the player spends most of his time playing to himself, so they moved the sound hole from it`s usual place to the upper side of the body, facing the player. R3-N comes with a dreadnought-shaped body made of solid mahogany back, laminated mahogany sides and solid spruce sound board on top. Abalone binding and gloss finish complete the body. Fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets marked with abalone dot inlays. String nut is 1-11/16" wide. Scale length of R3-N measures series standard 25-5/8".
