12 or 14 maple is one of three models from 12 or 14 family, which is made to offer steel-stringed players a cross over solution. These models represent a clever mix of steel and nylon-string features. Construction of 12 or 14 maple is acoustic-electric with single cut design and a choice between 12th or 14th fret dovetail joint. Tone woods used on this one include maple, spruce, ebony, mahogany and rosewood. Maple is used for back and side panels of the body, while the spruce sits on top in the shape of fingerboard. Indian rosewood is used for binding. Bridge is made of rosewood and fingerboard is made of ebony. Neck is the only part for which mahogany is used. Hardware on this model is plated in silver.
