Although spruce dominates the acoustic and classical guitar industry as virtually only sound board option, cedar has a smaller but very dedicated following. When combined with mahogany (the most frequent combination for cedar) it gives a significantly darker and deeper tone than the ubiquitous mahogany/spruce option. SFX-CED is a single-cut guitar with acoustic-electric construction and standard SFX series styling. This modern flat-top rocks the already mentioned mahogany/cedar body with maple neck attached at 14th fret. The top features subtle abalone rosette and ivoroid binding. On the other end, the neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Fishman`s Isys Plus system with Sonicore under-saddle pickup provides a high quality amplified tone. Rosewood bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
