Spruce is a model from the Dean`s Exotica series which is made of conventional tone woods, instead of a selection of rare and exotic woods. It comes with series standard grand auditorium shaped body with single cutaway design. Tone woods used for the body on this model are mahogany for the back and sides and spruce for the top. Top is bound in black binding and equipped with series standard rosette around the sound hole. Bridge on this model is made of rosewood and it features a regular Dean shape. Electronics consist of DMT I2NR preamp and under-saddle piezo. Neck on Spruce is made of mahogany and it comes with set-in joint positioned at the 14th fret. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets with dot position inlays.
