Epiphone`s Square Shoulder series serves the same purpose as Gibson`s, it houses dreadnought-shaped models. DR-500R is a full-sized dread with non cutaway design. IT`s back and sides are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. This combo is one of the most popular with steel string guitars. Rosewood bridge is made with belly shape and white plastic saddle. Tortoise shell pickguard and triple circle rosette cover the top. Besides this, spruce top is bound in several layers of binding and finished in gloss. There are no electronics installed on this model. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a standard set-in joint. This neck is topped with rosewood fingerboard. It features 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1.72" wide synthetic bone nut. Gold plated hardware and Grover tuners wrap the specs list.
