Queensryche`s Michael Wilton has the honor to open ESP`s Acoustic Signature part of the catalog. His signature dreadnought comes up for 2012 and it brings a cutaway body made entirely of spalted maple. It is finished in high gloss and equipped with multi-ply abalone binding. This dreadnought also has a Venetian cutaway and a set-in neck. MW-DC1E, as the first signature acoustic from ESP features only the finest materials and appointments. There are no pickguards on the top `cause ESP and Michael Wilton opted for the maximum tone projection. The sound hole features an abalone rosette in accordance with the overall visual theme. The bridge is made of rosewood and features a belly shape with white string pins and white saddle. The electronics department consists of a B-Band electret film transducer and a T-55 preamp. Control panel is mounted onto the side of the guitar and features a four-band equalizer and a chromatic tuner with LED display. The neck is made of mahogany with a U contour. The neck is attached to the body via the set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 21 extra jumbo frets and diamond inlays. The skull inlay positioned at the 12th fret. 25-1/2" scale, 1.65" bone nut and ESP tuners complete the specs.
