J-15 is a brand new 2017 Jumbo series acoustic-electric from Gibson Acoustic. It is not an actual jumbo, nor what would commonly be considered an affordable guitar. It sports what`s around the industry known as slope-shouldered dreadnought body and a four-figured price tag ($1,499).
Nonetheless J-15 is the most affordable Jumbo series and Gibson Acoustic model at the moment. Non-cutaway body is made of walnut back and sides and Sitka spruce top (multiple binding on top, single-ply on the back, tortoise pickguard and abalone rosette). Two-piece maple neck and 20-fret walnut fingerboard complete the all-American tonewoods lineup.
Hardware and electronics exhibited on this flat-top include L.R Baggs Element system, Grover Mini tuners and a solid walnut bridge with Tusq saddle.
