J-185 Custom is one of luxurious models from Gibson`s Jumbo series and it comes with highly decorated pickguard and fingerboard. Gold-plated hardware is also applied on this model. This jumbo-shaped steel-stringer features non-cutaway body design. Back and side panels are made of maple, while the top is made of spruce. This spruce top is bound in several layers of binding and finished in high gloss lacquer. The top also features a tortoise shell pickguard and double circle rosette around the sound hole. In the bridge section, Gibson installs a belly shaped bridge made of ebony. Neck is made of maple and it sports a standard contour. This maple-made neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard. 20 frets, flower pot inlays and bone nut complete the fingerboard specs.
