5th Avenue is a collection of exclusive semi-hollow electric guitars. It was created with discerning jazz players in mind and current roster is made up of seven models. 5th Avenue Uptown/Bigsby is a classy six-string with semi-hollow construction, refined vintage styling and modern playability. Add top notch hardware & electronics and some of the finest tonewoods available to Godin and $1,395 price tag seems very affordable. Canadian wild cherry is used for the back, sides and the carved top (Trans Red GT has a flame maple top). Silver leaf maple neck rocks a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. A pair of Godin Custom humbuckers constitutes the pickups combo. They`re controlled through a simple controls unit (volume, tone, 3-way toggle switch) Roller bridge with Bigsby trem tailpiece and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
