Godin`s A series acoustic-electric guitars feature authentic design and quality amplification. Acousticaster is probably the most interesting model of the line with it`s body shaped after the iconic Telecaster electric guitar. Acousticaster has a chambered semi-acoustic maple body with a cedar top. It is available in natural color with glossy finish and no sound hole on the top. This model features Godin under-saddle transducer and a custom preamp with the controls mounted onto the top of the guitar. The neck on this model is made of maple and has a C contour with a set-in joint. The fingerboard on Acousticaster is made of rosewood and features 22 medium jumbo frets, offset dot inlays and 1.75" wide synthetic bone nut. The MSRP for this model is set at $1,195.

I had one of these about 20 years ago. Sold it about ten years ago as new acoustic/electrics came on the scene. I have some nice hybrids, including a Taylor T5 custom koa. This guitar outperforms them all at a fraction of the price. Sounds acoustic, plays electric, just a great piece for the money. If you are a working musician this guitar should be in your tool kit.
