Multioud is a cross between the modern Multiac and the ancient middle-eastern oud. The end result is a very interesting instrument with a distinct voice. It is perfect for fusion players who want to add an exotic touch to their repertoire.
The body of this rather odd looking eleven-string model is made of chambered Canadian laurentian basswood base with a solid cedar sound board on top. Together with the nylon strings, pear-shaped basswood/cedar body gives that oriental flavor. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a classic bolt-on joint and is topped with a fretless rosewood fingerboard.
Encore Nylon Multioud comes with a built in EPM Quantum 1T under-saddle transducer with a belonging preamp. Fixed rosewood bridge and classical tuning pegs complete the specs list.
