Ibanez EW series is dedicated to the production of the models made of exotic woods such as olive ash, spalted mango and zebra wood. Other traits of the series include the unique EW shape and quality electronics. EW50 is a cutaway model with body made completely of monkey pod wood. The neck is made of mahogany with EW contour and a dovetail joint set at the 14th fret. The electronics are made up of b-band piezo pickup and Ibanez SRTc preamp with chorus and on-board controls mounted on the side of the guitar. The fingerboard is made of ebony and features 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay, 1.69" ivorex nut and 12" radius. The bridge is made of rosewood and has a compensated saddle. The Ibanez EW50 currently costs somewhere around $400.
