JG-TR15 is one of four travel-sized guitars made by Johnson Guitars. It comes with a rather predictable and "fail-safe" set of specs and features. Nothing experimental, nothing too exciting on this short-scaled steel-stringer. But, Johnson does provide stability, durability and a quality of build. Also, the tone is on a quite enviable level of quality when compared to it`s peers on the market. Traditional mahogany/spruce/rosewood combo is used on this 23-1/2" scaled traveler. Mahogany back an sides with a spruce sound board on the top make up the body, while the bridge and fingerboard are made of rosewood. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features the 12th fret dovetail joint, instead of the 14th (latter is standard for the full-sized guitars).
