D-15 is situated within the Custom Series of Martin catalog. This series is reserved for only the finest of Martin guitars and D-15 is certainly one of them. It kicks off with a non-cutaway dreadnought shape with vintage looks and styling. It is made of rosewood back and sides with a spruce top. All woods on this model are solid. The top is decorated with luxurious tortoise binding and finished in gloss. Rosewood is also the material of choice for the belly shaped bridge. Martin installs no electronics on this model. The neck is made of mahogany and it features Martin`s own Oval contour with mortise & tenon joint. The fingerboard matches the bridge and is also made of rosewood. It comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut.
