Martin`s 16 series models are oriented towards quality of craftsmanship and sound, but with being more affordable than Standard Series some features had to be compromised. D-16 GLT Left Handed is a non-cutaway dreadnought model made of spruce top and mahogany back and sides. It comes available in natural gloss color with natural binding and tortoise shell pickguard. The neck on this model is made of hardwood with a modified low oval contour and mortise and tenon neck joint placed at the 14th fret. The fingerboard on this model is made of black micarta and features 20 frets, white dot position markers and 1.6875" wide white corian string nut. The bridge is also made of black micarta nad features a white corian saddle. The list price for this model is set at $1,449.
