1778TX-4CS is a brand new model from Elite T series and it hits the scene just in time to appear at 2012 NAMM Show. This model sports a medium-depth bowl with a cutaway design. The bowl itself is made of composite materials, as is the tradition at Ovation guitars. The top is made of solid cedar wood and features another signature Ovation appointment, multiple sound holes. They are placed only on the bass side of the guitar. The top is available only in natural color. The bridge is made of rosewood with black stain, which gives it the intense, dark color. The bridge also has a white saddle. In the pickup department, things are held together by an Ovation OCP-1K piezo under-saddle pickup and Ovation OP Pro preamp with side-mounted control panel. The neck is made of eastern mahogany and meets the body at the standard 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and is equipped with 22 frets and no position inlays. Scalloped X bracing, 25-1/4" scale and chrome plated Ovation tuning machines wrap the specs list for Elite T 1778TX-4CS.
