1861AX is one of five Standard Balladeer models in current production at Ovation Guitars. This series offers astonishing quality and a bit conservative design. There are no multiple offset sound holes and epaulets, though construction-wise, Balladeers are true Ovations. Body of this 1861AX model is shaped like a regular ovation acoustic-electric with single cutaway. It`s made of composite bowl in the back and spruce sound board on top. Electronics are made by Ovation and installed in two-piece configuration, pickup and preamp. Top panel is bound in white binding and equipped with series standard rosette. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. Hardware is plated in chrome and scale is 25-1/4" long. V-shaped mahogany neck is set in and topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
