Custom Legend Mid Depth C1779LX-5 is a member of a five-model lineup of the Custom Legend series. Like its siblings, it comes with a Lyrachord body, composite bowl in the back, 25-1/4" scale (a brand-wide standard), conventional soundhole (instead of Ovation`s famous multiple offset soundholes with epaulets), Ovation electronics, and high-quality hardware. The bowl supporting the two-piece spruce soundboard is of the mid-depth profile, which considerably increases playability and player comfort. The five-piece mahogany/maple neck also features a comfortable, player-friendly profile (w/gloss finish). Black (w/gloss finish, gold-plated hardware, abalone binding) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a 20-fret ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, OCP1 pickup w/OP Pro Studio preamp, and die-cast tuners.
