George Jones Getaway is an acoustic guitar made by Silvertone Guitars. It is a non-cutaway guitar with classical body and steel string construction. It`s body is made of nato back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Both nato and spruce are laminated to cut on the costs. This choice of tone woods indicates that this is a budget-friendly guitar and that it serves the purpose of being beginner`s first guitar. Compared to other guitars from this range, creme binding and classical rosette look really elegant and distinguished. Silvertone also installs a set of six die-cast tuning machines with chrome plating. Neck on this model is made of mahogany, it has a standard contour in the back and it`s topped with an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard.
