Takamine`s Thermal Top technology is what`s known worldwide as torrefaction or the thermal aging. It is located within the Pro Series range and is made up of a line of pretty fancy acoustic-electrics.
EF450C TT comes in with an auditorium body (w/Venetian cutaway, multi-layered binding around top & back, ornate pickguard, abalone rosette), glued-in neck (standard 14th fret dovetail joint), combined chrome/gold hardware, and Takamine electronics. Brown Sunburst and Trans Black Burst are the names of the available color options.Main tonewood appointments include flame maple back & sides (solid back, laminated sides), maple neck (standard shape, standard width), and striped ebony fingerboard (20 frets, custom designed inlays, 1.68" string nut).
Electronics unit is made up of the Palathetic pickup and non-invasive TLD-2 preamp.
