654ce is an acoustic-electric guitar with serious appointments and level of quality, as it is based upon the highly acclaimed 600 series models. Basic specs list is shared between the 600 series and this model. This is a grand auditorium guitar with single cutaway design and Taylor`s Expression System as it`s means of amplification. This model is available only in natural color with high gloss finish. This color scheme is complemented by chrome-plated hardware, abalone rosette and elegant top binding. Body is made of maple back and side panels with spruce sound board on top. In the bridge section Taylor opted to install a standard shaped bridge made of ebony. Mahogany-made neck is attached to the body with a dovetail joint and topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
