Taylor`s 800 series is positioned in the acoustic-electric part of the catalog and offers high quality models second only to the 900 series models. 800 models have solid tonewoods, NT necks and Taylor Expression System. 815ce Left Handed is a jumbo cutaway model with a solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. Natural gloss finish has honey and tobacco sunburst options also available. The neck is made of tropical American mahogany with a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets, Pearl 800 inlays, 1.75" TUSQ nut and 15" radius. Taylor Expression System with shoulder-mounted controls is in charge of amplification. The bridge is made of solid ebony and features a white TUSQ saddle. The list price for this model is set at $4,058.
