Belfast Goliath is one of eight special limited run models made by Titanic guitars which are being introduced in 2012 to celebrate 100 years of Titanic. Belfast Goliath is named after the big crane which was used during the Titanic production. With one hundred years of past, there will be exactly 100 copies made, one for each year. This is a cutaway jumbo sized guitar with a body made of solid mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. The top is bound in luxurious tortoise binding and has a custom port hole rosette. This Goliath comes in natural gloss finish. The bridge is made of ebony, and is given pyramid shape, black string pins and white saddle. Within the body cavity, there are Fishman Matrix VT pickup and preamp. The preamp`s controls are also hidden within the cavity, not to obstruct the tone with side and shoulder incisions which are necessary with common preamp control panels. The neck is made of solid mahogany and meets the body at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is, just like the bridge, made of ebony. 20 frets and custom dot and diamond inlays are placed upon it. Der Jung vintage tuners, 25-3/5" scale and chrome plated hardware complete the specs.
