M 118SW is an F-styled mandolin from the Washburn`s folk instrument section. It comes with a standard F-styled body and it sports a vintage paint job with high gloss finish. Top panel is made of spruce, and it features creme binding in combination with a pair of elegant "f" holes, one on the either side of the bridge. Top is not covered with a pickguard, as Washburn went for the maximum tone projection. Back and sides are made of maple. Bridge is made of rosewood and it features a compensated saddle. There are no electronics installed on this mandolin. Maple-made neck is attached to the body with a set-in joint and it is topped with an ebony fingerboard. It features 24 frets with pearl dot inlays.
