CPX700II-12 is one of only two currently active CPX series models (the other one is CPX600). CPX700II-12 is a 12-stringed guitar, with concert-sized body, and acoustic-electric consturction. Main features include a flat-top body (nato/okume back & sides, spruce soundboard, modern scalloped bracing, modern soundhole rosette), 14th fret neck joint, 25" scale (a bit shorter than Yamaha`s acoustic standard at 25-9/16"), in-house electronics (almost all Yamaha acoustic-electrics feature in-house electronics), and stock hardware. Natural is the only available color option, coming in with gloss finish, chrome hardware, and creme binding. The MSRP is set at $999.00. Other notable features include a comfortable neck made of locally sourced tonewoods (actual species depends on local availability), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
