Yamaha`s FGX series of acoustic-electric guitars is one of, if not the best selling acoustic-electric guitar series ever to hit the stage. It`s success is owed to a fantastic ratio of value for money. This new FGX700SC for 2012 was represented at the NAMM Show this January. FGX700SC 2012 kicks off with a dreadnought cutaway body made of nato back and sides and a solid sitka spruce top. The top on this dreadnought is bound in black and features a teardrop shaped tortoise pickguard and a subtle sound hole rosette. FGX700SC is available in natural color with gloss finish. The bridge is made of rosewood and equipped with a belly shape, black string pins and white plastic string saddle. In the electronics department, piezo pickup and System55T preamp are in charge of amplification. Preamp features a side-mounted control panel with three-band equalizer, AMF (adjustable midrange frequency) control and tuner. The neck is made of nato wood and is equipped with a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and has 20 frets with dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. 25-9/16" scale and die-cast tuners wrap the specs list.
