NTX series offers some of the best classical-electric guitars on the market. They compete in the affordable section of the market. Many manufacturers can`t make it, but Yamaha has found the way. Back and sides are made of nato wood, which is both affordable and good sounding tonewood. It`s plentiful and easy to obtain. For the sound board of this six-stringed classic-electric guitar, Yamaha uses solid spruce, which is an extraordinary feature, considering the price range of NTX700. Within the body, Yamaha installs the System 61 electronics with the preamp being installed onto the side of the body. On the outside, this model has very Spartan styling with only the black binding and simple sound hole rosette. Neck is made of nato, just like the back and the sides of the body and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. On it`s top, there`s a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets.
