D20 is Ashton`s basic dreadnought guitar. It is a completely acoustic instrument of the beginner class. Laminated tonewoods are used for the body, as well as modern bracing pattern under the soundboard. D20 starts off with a full-sized dreadnought body with a glued-in neck. Back and sides are made of laminated basswood (a frequently used tonewood in the beginner class), while the top is made of spruce (also laminated). Simple, single-circle rosette and black binding decorate the top. The neck is made of maple and it features a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. There are no electronics installed within or on the body of this super-affordable dread. Other major features include die-cast tuning machines, adjustable truss rod and a fixed rosewood bridge.
