Ovangkol and cedar are not so common combination for steel-stringed guitars, but they work quite nice on Breedlove`s Passport C250/COE. Ovangkol, being essentially rosewood works pretty fine with a multitude of tone woods used throughout the guitar industry. On this model laminated ovangkol is used for back and sides and solid cedar comprises the top. This top panel is equipped with black binding, discreet single circle rosette and thin coat of satin lacquer over the natural color. Hardware installed on this model is plated in chrome and includes two rows of three tuning machines installed on the headstock. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a belly shaped bridge made of rosewood. Neck is equipped with a C contour and dovetail joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets.
