AXS series is a brand new series of acoustic guitars in Dean catalog. It was introduced earlier this year at NAMM show. There`s only one model in it`s ranks with more updates expected throughout the year. This model is fully acoustic and features non-cutaway dreadnought body. It is made of quilted ash back, sides and top. Natural, Trans Blue, Tobacco Sunburst and Trans Black are color schemes available for this model. All four are finished in high gloss. This model belongs to the budget-friendly section of the catalog and aims primarily at beginners and players with strained budget. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features a standard C contour in the back. It is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top Dean installs a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Bridge is also made of rosewood. 25-1/2" scale, 1-11/16" string nut and chrome-plated die-cast tuning machines complete the specs list for this model.
