CD-60 is a trusty dreadnought from Fender and it now comes in full-mahogany outfit. This sturdy old steel-stringer served for years within Fender`s ranks and will continue on for years to come. From now on it has a companion named CD-60 Mahogany. This new dread from Fender comes with a fully acoustic body with non-cutaway design. It retained every bit of it`s older brother`s durability and quality, now packed in mahogany back, sides and sound board. Result is a somewhat mellower tone with a strong low end and great projection. Beautiful grain of the wood is left untouched, it`s only protected with high gloss finish. Top panel of this model is bound in several layers of black-colored binding and it`s equipped with a black plastic pickguard. Bridge section is equipped with one of Fender`s favorites, rosewood-made bridge with belly contour and compensated synthetic bone nut. On the other side of the 25.3" scale Fender installs a 1.625" wide synthetic bone nut. Neck is also made of mahogany and it features a substantial, but comfortable back contour with gloss finish over it. It is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets, small dot inlays, 1.625" synthetic bone nut mentioned above and 300mm radius. Tuning machines installed on the headstock are plated in chrome.
