Roots Collection`s G922x and G923x designations are reserved for the magnificent Bobtail resonators, with 922x models having rounded and 923x models having square necks. Each variant comes with both a wooden and steel body. Also, all Bobtails cost over $1,000 (MSRP).
G9231 Bobtail costs $1,299 (MSRP) and offers a steel body (non-cutaway), Spider cone, square-shaped neck, Fishman electronics, and vintage styling. Weathered Pump House Roof is the only available color option for this model (as is for the round-neck G9221).
Key features include a non-cutaway resonator body (flat-top, dual "f" holes), mahogany neck (semi-gloss finish), 19-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays, 25" scale, 1.75" string nut), maple bridge (w/ebony tip), Fishman Nashville resonator pickup, and open-back tuning machines.
