Hagstrom comes from Sweden as the biggest manufacturer from the northern Europe. Their catalog is not as large as Fender`s or Gibson`s, but is covers a lot of ground with it`s versatile guitars and basses. Acoustic section is divided in several series and Modre series is home to the Modre Dreadnought guitar, the one to which this article is dedicated. Modre Dread comes with non-cutaway design and mahogany color with high gloss finish. Back and side panels are made of mahogany and are combined with a top also made of mahogany. Bridge section features a belly shaped bridge made of resinator, Hagstrom`s signature material. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a fingerboard made of resinator. 20 frets feature Hagstrom characteristic inlays.

I have Martins, Hagstroms, Ibanez, & a Takamine. The Martins sound the best with the Hagstroms in second place. The Martins are WAY more expensive. Dollar for dollar the Hagstrom is the definitely the best guitar out there for the money. In my opinion.
