Grand Concert is a compact-sized body shape, used all over the industry. It started off as a little bit more player-friendly younger sibling of the standard classical guitar. It brought in the 14th fret joint. Also, the scale length is usually shorter on a grand concert guitar. Ibanez grand concert models come with their own, distinctive and easily recognizable tone, as well as styling. They`re simple, stylish guitars, made for players who want something in between the chunky dreadnought and small New Yorker (Ibanez name for parlor guitars). AC240L is the only Artwood series GC model introduced at 2016 NAMM show.
It kicks off with a non-cutaway body made entirely of mahogany. Black binding around the top and back, dual-circle rosette and tortoise shell are all series standard decorations, and they fit this cozy six-stringer perfectly. The neck is also made of mahogany. It rocks the 14th fret dovetail joint in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The fingerboard`s equipped with dot inlays, standard-sized frets, 1.77" nut and 15.75" radius. Compensated rosewood bridge and chrome-plated Grover tuning machines complete the simple, yet impressive specs list.
